Hello, Below are my site's search engine snap taken from google webmaster tools. Since last several days, my site is getting more than 0.1 million impressions in Google search results BUT clicks are constantly 3600 per day (see orange line). So, i wana ask, Google limits traffic to be sent to your site/blog ?
I mean, since last month, as statistics are saying, I am constantly having 3600 clicks per day from Google search while having more than one hundred thousand impressions per day. You can see clicks are constant (orange line)
not at all, that might means that you're not relevant for most of the traffic, try to rewrite your meta description in order to cause users to click on you.
damn..!!,.. is that you website. that is a high traffic. what niche you get in too,... (if you can tell us here
What is your analytics traffic? Does it correlate with more than 3600 visitors a day? Otherwise, Googles data is just smoke and mirrors.
My total per day unique traffic is more than 10,000 BUT since last one month, google is consistantly sending 3600 users per day only. Not even 3601 or 3599. Search impressions increases and decreases but clicks - same every day !
Try to put an other counter on the page (statcounter.com for example) or use your server stats to compare.. maybe analytics is off
Those are just the webmaster tools stats. What does Analytics say? In webmaster tools, my impressions fluctuate from 49,500 to 110,000 per day, but the clicks are 2,900 every day. but WMT's goes on to give a total of 2,740,000 Impressions and 110,000 Clicks from 1,464 Queries. So even the daily clicks don't add up (2,900 * 31 = 89,900) However, Analytics reports that Google sends between 5,000 and 6,000 visits per day, or... "google sent 179,469 total visits via 9,178 keywords" So the moral of the story is, don't use webmaster tools to monitor your search engine traffic, use Analytics. Cheers James EDIT: PS: Just a heads up about the link in your sig... McAfee siteadvisor warns "McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential security risks with this site. Use with extreme caution." Browser exploit (1), Adware, spyware, or viruses (1) But GCrawler says its fine at the moment.
I would guess maybe its because in your meta tags? I'm not sure though. Try to check it or change it.
Yes friend you are right. I am also having same problem with my Google Webamster tool. Google showing same constant traffic for each day and similar traffic rate. Not even low and high it remains constant for 3 to 4 days. Dont know what Google is doing or thinking :S
Oops.. i dint notice this thread and i created one similar to this..... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1987387 Even i am seeing this kind of behaviour....
No. Check your server logs or use Analytics to check your traffic reports, not webmaster tools.
