I was wandering why is that when you give someone a bad I-trader, that you get -1 from your own reputation?

    Surely this is not fair!

You don't... iTrader has nothing to do with reputation.

You only give yourself '-1 from your own reputation' when you try to give some one else red rep.

Its designed to stop people giving red rep for no reason. If its important to you to give red rep then losing a point of your own rep shouldn't matter.

Based on 2 years experience and probably around half a million reputation points having been handed out, this -1 system was implemented and it works great. So, trust us on this one! It's for the better.

Some members, I won't mention Fryman's name, got a bit trigger happy. So just like the stock exchange sometimes rebalances the index, so did we. And it has been a far better place/system ever since.
