    I want to register domain name facebook.XX (country domain name) to make a vbulletin community forums about facebook. Will this domain name violate anything?

    Likely they can sue you, using a trademarked name in any form is a violation of trade laws, especially if you are making money off of it. Also they can claim typo squatting and sue you there.

    yeah they will sue for sure and even ask to give compensation.

    you can see even they trying to sue Faceporn (also want money from that porn stuff earning :p )

    Facebook is trying to sue anyone registering face, book, anythinbook or faceanything so figure out if they will let you register an available extension if any.

    Trademarked names are plain and simple a NO-NO.

    a buddy of me registered facech*t .xx in a European country a few months later a lawyer with small-di*k (if he have a big one he never would write such a stupid letter) write a letter that he need to delete the domain registration and to sign if he register again he need to pay a penalty and if he not delete it in the next 30 day he need to pay some penalty bla bla bla.... 1 year later this guy still have his domain, in this year the lawyer has do a complain at court about my buddy but not regarding his domain.... he claims that my buddy has write inside many public toilets his cell/phone number with a text that he is looking for some gay adventures, same happen on the internet... the court has acquitted my buddy from this fantasy story :)

    In the unlikely event it's available, it's asking for legal trouble. I heard big companies sometimes let people register their trademarked domains so they can sue them as it makes their mark seem more valuable

    even if you're not US based ICAAN is so they can probably take the domain off you
