WWW or without WWW

My site pr=2 has all pages indexed without the www version .
It is also ranking good for many urls.
Should I redirect naked domain to www one or should i redirect www version to naked one?
Or leave it as it is?
For which one should i build backlinks?

I agree with you, if your domain is long, you should remove www

    Completely false.

Every unique URL is treated as different pages even if they are all pointing to the same page or to the homepage.

    http://www.domain.com
    http://www.domain.com/index.html
    http://domain.com
    http://domain.com/index.html

    Code (markup):
All are considered as duplicates pages. Ever wonder why Google would sometimes index two versions of your homepage or a certain innerpage? That's because they are treated differently.

You can educate yourselves more by reading this

    http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=60ec0538f0619612&hl=en

or by just searching more about this in the web.

@OP - Since Google has considered the non www version of your website as the preferred one, it would be advisable to have your URLs follow (by means of permanent redirection or 301) the said structure.

Which currently ranks? Redirect the one which does not rank to the one which ranks. then stick to it

permanent redirect good to ranking a website because google will treat two site one is non www or another will treat www.
if your site has pr=2 on non www, this is good but ethical way is permanent redirect.

It doesn't matter which one you choose but when you decide, stick to it and 301 redirect the other one to the one you choose.

Yes, but you need to adopt one URL structure and then continue building links to the chosen structure

As I know kanonization can fix it.
Can anyone tell us how to do it?

Sorry if the word "kanonization" is wrong. I don't remember the right one :d

    Canonicalization

You can read more of it here in SEOmoz - Complete Guide to Rel Canonical - How To and Why (Not)

    Hope that proves useful.

Google will consider them as two different sites. Its better to use 301 redirect.

    Leave it as it is.

You should build backlinks using the naked version which got ranking in Google.
