I've been running 4 static clickbank ads on my site for the month of September. http://www.hiphop100.net I receive about 100 uniques a day, so why haven't I made even 1 sale yet? Thanks, seb
because your traffic may not be that targetted. and counting CTR of lets say 3% that's only 3 people a day that you send to your ads, with 1:100 conversions it'll take you one month to make a sale. Now if your traffic is not targetted and your sponsors convert 1:300 it'll take you 3 months to make one sale. your solution? get more traffic, better sponsors, or increase your CTR.
LOL - I did the same thing, promoting Beats365 - whoever is pushing that hip-hop beats package is probably not telling you the whole truth on the actual viability of the program - unfortunately, some Clickbank products just don't sell well, even though you throw the whole kitchen sink at them. The solution is to pick the right products, and promote them at the right time, no more, no less. More on my sad story with Clickbank, at :> http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1513154&postcount=3
My products are based on hip hop, I have a hip hop site, I think that's targetted My CTR is about 7% I am about to pull the plug on CB, who knows, I could be making more with other affiliate programs.
Where do you get most of your 100 visitors a day from? Are they people who are actually looking for hip hop music? What are they searching for? The relevancy of your traffic is hugely important. From what I can see of your digital point forum profile, it says you have posted 969 messages on digital point since april 2006. Wow that's a lot of time in here. I'd be guessing that a lot of those hip hop visitors have read some of your digital point forum posts and then clicked your signature just for interest. They are probably not interested in hip hop though. I suggest that you change your signature and create a relevant website, or have an affiliate link to a relevant website. regards, Mark
Out of interest, how do you know your CTR is 7% seeming as though Clickbank doesn't provide stats? Where are the clickbank ads on your site?
Well my adsense which was there previously was about 10% CTR so I'm assuming 7%... I was banned so I placed CB ads in it's place. The CB ads are above the fold, just under the top image.
That sucks about being banned. Do you know of the site www.affiliatesalert.com ? It allows you to check the performance history for clickbank merchants. Maybe the offer you are pushing is just a dud, there is alot of crap on CB.
These are the only products that compliment my niche so I don't have much choice. I just applied to AzoogleAds...hopefully I get in
Here's the trick: Give away something of value for each purchase made and I'll almost guarantee you make atleast one or two sales before the years over. lol Naw I'm serious. you'll get more sales than that though.
You don't have to be the product owner to offer free gifts. For example, I'm not the product owner of Affiliate Project X, but I offer a free gift, an example of which can be seen at: http://affiliateprojectx.techhaven.info/ Get the person who purchased through your link to send a copy of their Clickbank receipt to you, which you then manually match up with your Clickbank transaction report. Subsequently, send them that free gift.
The easiest stuff to give away are the hundreds of free-to-give-away ebooks already residing on your hard drive At least, that's what I see the other affiliates doing. Some are also giving away public domain software (a certain keyword program comes to mind) that's already free in the first place. What they do is stick a "$27-Value!!!" label next to a screenshot of the free program - of course, the software has some intrinsic value in a way, even though it's free. A bit dishonest, in my eyes, but hey, there're tons of newbies and first-timers out there, and I guess all is fair in Adwords and Internet Marketing.
