That is my point; In the Forum it will be rare when someone gives you "ALL" the info.
Some people who know SEO will give you one or two points. But most of the time advice will come from people who are themselves novice at this or don't have enough experience to give you the right advice.

the Google Adwords tool is called the Adwords tool for a reason. The green competition bar is there to indicate how many people bid on this keyword not to indicate how many websites use this keyword. If you want to monetize with Adsense you want to have this bar as green as possible in order to get a lot of ads delivered that people might click. And ads that are competitive so that each click is worth more.
As for judging competition, you want to beat the sites that rank on the first page of Google for the keyword(s) in question. So, it is enough to look at the first page. It is not important how many sites use the keyword in question, it is important how strong the sites are that rank for the keyword(s). Pagerank, backlinks, indexed content, domain age, all this are good indicators on how strong a site is. Just my 2 adcents, SY

This is just the keyword part of the process, don't under estimate the niche and market research, check the competion too.
