I've had a higher number than usual the past couple weeks as well. This is part of the popularity/satisfaction I factored into my post on counts and stats.

 

There's a simple explanation to this: as of late last week, file manager began counting downloads that generated points in order to improve the efficiency of the system. If you're on PPS, you will not generate points on DLs, and as such will not se DLs if the file manager. Or if you're on PPD, and your files are downloaded by the same premium user, only one of the files will see a download.

PPS stats are entirely independent, so if you're on PPS, you have nothing to worry about.

 

We've been spending days doing QA on the stats system because of people's concerns, and I can confirm that it is counting properly. We understand that some saw a decrease, but affiliates are continuing to make good money and our site is continuing to grow. In fact, you can find many affiliates who are making more money now than ever, especially with PPS.

As of now there are 62 downloads for Part 2 and absolutely 0 for Part 1.

Please fix it.

That clears things up somewhat. So how to do I know how popular my files are if the 'downloads' column only shows points? Some of my files also have "downloads" so where did those come from.

 

As I mentioned, we stopped displaying downloads for PPS users at some point las week, so you might have gotten some downloads before that.

Leave this with me for a bit, and I'll see if I can come up with a solution that doesn't compromise performance.

 

Thanks for responding so quickly. The downloads I mentioned were added recently. They're files I uploaded this week so I'm wondering where those numbers came from.

 

As PPS we need need it too!

 

I'll join FXXXB in thanking you for the timely responses. I had not realized the file manager was not reflecting any stats for those of us on PPS after last week. Taking another look at how to work this in is appreciated as it is impossible for us on PPS to gauge the popularity of our files without this tool. In fact, if you look back, I'd wager the majority of those asking for this tool to be returned to the file manager over the past months were PPS affiliates.

 

thanks, now we know what 's the reason for 0 download in manage files.
But old system is better because sometimes I switch to PPD when I see my files ae popular and getting lot of dl but not sales.
With this new system we cant do that anymore so please find a solution .

 

You still can't download with Filesonic. They have it set for after the first about 100MB it just slows to a crawl. We're dropping them.

 

Your download speed has nothing to do with how much of a file you've downloaded. The only variable are whether you're free or premium, and how busy a specific server is. Your theory makes zero sense.

 

I download a file from filesonic as a free user then waited 25 minutes to download another file but after 25minutes when i click download the 25minutes timer started agian...wtf?

 

Your link probably expired. If you just leave the window open and come back more than 30 minutes later, you must restart. This is standard... always been that way.

 

Progressing from 10 min top delay to 25 min top delay for free users now? Quick question, does this reset after a time or does it remain for 24 hrs as the 10 min wait time did when it was the max? Thanks.

 

Sharingmatrix was better and and do not know why it changed to Filesonic! filesonic is not better from sharingmatrix and what I get now from filesonic nothing bad stats my real earning was at least 11-12 USD per day now 4-5 I would never say filesonic best file hosting in the world!

 

I have a small question.
I recently opened a forum ( k-forums.com ), i registered it to filesonic.
I know i take 5% from sales made throght it even if the links belong to other affiliate, but if the link is mine and i am on PPS do i get 60% for that sale and an extra 5% because is made on my website ?
Pls answer if you know the answer.
