I'm very sad I paid to upgrade my account to premium which did not happen but instead it just made a new account for me...

 

I m still having stat issu in file manager, Almost all my new files have 0 download, no new download added to old files and some files has 0 download but sold 1 or 2 premium, so definitly stats are not working properly.

 

I ask the same question to Filesonic_IT

if they remove the option to see the download counts if you are in PPS and he answer....

"I believe that they only show in PPD."

and stats decrease day by day.....

 

For me PPD stats is so slower. Filesonic support please fix PPD stats not counted correctly I upload so much but stats decrease every day!

 

I still have the same problem. Hopefully someone at filesonic will fix it soon.

 

This is the problem everyone is facing. Though we are uploading more and more yet the stats are decreasing whereas it should be the other way round.

It's possible that all of you are uploading the same thing. If there's more people uploading the same thing then there would be less downloads per affiliate.

we all know that filesonic has problem with stats, and not only with stats!

 

Although I tend to agree the stats are accurate for the most part, this suggestion is a bit thin, isn't it. Sure, sharing easy to find files could be a reason for a drop in downloads, but to suggest hulaku, OnTheTop, adalla26 and NIKY20 are all sharing the same files is a bit thin, isn't it.

The reason for the drop is not that the displayed stats are inaccurate. FSn is simply counting fewer downloads. To be brutally honest, any filehost which pays for sales has stricter guidelines for counting downloads and is not going to credit any downloads which are not explicitly within their guidelines. They are going to continually par any download counts, just as FileSonic has done, because PPD is a complete loss and they do not have the cushion that a filehost without PPS would have.

If you wish to take full advantage of what FSn has to offer you need to move yourself toward PPS. FXXXB and I may disagree that everyone is sharing the same file, but I think we would agree on this last point.

 

The point is that the displayed stats are kinda correct but as I pointed out in a previous post I uploaded a file in two parts. As of now Part 2 has been downloaded more than 25 times where as Part 1 has 0 downloads as per FileSonic. And Part 2 does not work without Part 1. And people on the forums have thanked me so it shows they are downloading Part 1 but FileSonic is just not showing it.

What is happening is that downloads for complete files are not being shown so theoratically the downloads shown are correct but whole files are not being counted for reasons which FileSonic needs to explain ?

It's hard to judge accuracy on the basis of two files. There is a variety of reasons the count could be off in any two files. The posted link could be bad and thus there are no click throughs. Ypu could have mirrored the file and half the downloads are going to filesonic while half the downloads are going to the mirror. Premium users could be downloading both parts which mean you are credited for one at most. Folk could be thanking you just to be polite (I regularly "thank" about 100 posts for every 1 I download). Folk could be having a hard time downloading one half from FSn and they thus give up on the second half. The list goes on. I'm not saying any of these apply to you, but if you're looking for a pattern, you need a bigger sample. Either that or you need to slap a mirror on the the share. Try sharing the file with FileServe or another host as well as FileSonic. If you get a similar problem with FileServe, it is not a FileSonic error, right?

 

Correct. I tend to upload new stuff; content that is not yet widespread over the internet. And yesterday I had a record number of downloads. The stats are surely not frozen for me. I am not saying that the stats are correct, but they are not frozen.
From some point of view, the remote upload feature is a bad thing; it decreases the number of downloads if you cannot find new stuff. Within some months there will be more reposters than downloaders.

 

The posted link is not bad as people I know on the forum confirmed it to me. And no the link was only in FileSonic and there were no mirrors. If Premium members are downloading why only Part 2 and not Part 1. Both parts are of equal size. And if there is a problem with Part 1 people would instantly get back to me and point that out. Nobody thanks just out of "politeness" as you say.

And usually most people download Part 1 first and then Part 2 so none of your assumptions apply. I have respect for FileSonic as they pay on time everytime. But I need someone to tell me what is going on.

As I have said before somebody from FileSonic should address this as this could be a bug they need to take care of as not only I but most of the posters here seem to have the same problem.

I sold a premium account on Oct 24, 2010 (sunday). According to filesonic promotion plan, I can get an extra $5 even though you are PPS or PPD. However, I get nothing in that day. Please tell me what is happening
