I always start with the free Google tool, https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal, and then I take the words I like, and download them to a spreedsheet, and use Micro Niche Finder or Keyword Elite2, to drill down the best ones.

Google adwords is the best keyword tool..

 

Try Keyword Winner, it gathers data from SEO insights, SEO Competition and SEO Trends and gives you keyword suggestions all within your dashboard!

 

I use the Brainstormer tool which comes as a part of the Site Build It package. It's not cheap, but definitely well worth it for the comprehensive information it gives you.

 

In the past few months, I have used Google's free keyword tool and it is very useful but takes you a lot of time in researching and analyzing keywords. Right now I use Keyword Winner SEO Wordpress plugin and it's better than Google's free tool and others like Market Samurai and Brute Force SEO.

 

I recommend the Keyword Research Tool provided by KeywordShack. The results are mindblowing and the price is ridiculous.

I often use Google adwords and Google trend

 

I use Market Samurai for bigger projects as it includes also SEO monitoring features and the Nicherefinery (member only tool of the keyword academy) to find a lot of keywords quickly. The later I use mainly for things like article marketing and Hubpages, the first one for my own websites. The Google Adwords tool is ok, but you still have to do a lot of work by hand to figure out the competition for each keyword by hand. SY
