How much time do you spend on commenting other blogs a day and how much traffic do you receive from it?

Maybe 5 minutes but i seldom comment just for link building purpose

 

I don't do blog commenting that much. I realized that you don't get much traffic from it.

 

I spend about 15 or 20 minutes a day blog commenting and gordon is right it doesn't get much traffic but every little helps I guess.

 

It doesn't get much traffic but is it helping you get better rankings?

 

I hardly do that as I'm more of a forum poster. But yeah I do nee dto take out time and interest for blog commenting.

 

It's surprising to hear many people said that blog commenting doesn't help much.
I thought it is a popular way to gain traffic for free.

 

If 9 out of 10 comment does not make it past moderation, what kind of traffic do you expect from it?

 

I comment once a week, and its barely 1 hour.

 

Not much, maybe a minute a day. I would only post comments if it's something relevant and will only link if it helps other bloggers. Not much traffic, but it is highly targeted.

 

i dont spend any time at all commenting on blogs, it's completely pointless. any blog worth the bandwidth its written on is nofollowed, and i dont like this questionable SEO "technique" anyway

 

Hello Dreteh, I haven't spent time doing blog commenting yet. However, I am planning to spend around an hour two. How about you?

 

For those without a linking budget or just getting started with SEO, high quality comments with links are a useful way to build backlinks. I'm not advocating spam but HQ comments are beneficial to the blog owner, visitor and commenter.

 

I don't do a lot of blog commenting, as you won't get a lot of traffic trough it. Only on good blogs with a lot of visitors.

 

I spend more than an hour reading a lot of blogs.. Once in a while I also respond to the posts.

 

agreed, but how often do you see high quality comments? all i ever see is "great info.." and crap like that. also, you should ALWAYS use your real name, or site name, never a keyword

I used to do it daily basis, did many comments, not spammy ones, I used to do on daily basis and run a check tool to see if it past moderation. I now realize how time wasting it was =\ same for forum posting, dir submission, article dir and on and on. such a time waste.

 

I used to do one to two hours a day. But I stop doing it because the traffic I got is not worth the time. I still do blogs commenting now when I have nothing else to do.

 

Not much if ever. I would love the traffic, but I'm really looking for quality traffic. If you can afford it try advertising
