ive been involved in big fight in a bar a 6'3" guy starting to make a thrashy talk and starting to harass my friend coz she refuse to give her contact number.
oh yeah as a friend...i challenge the guy to fight me just to stop him to harassing my friend.. ive knock out the guy in just 30 seconds i think...
double leg take down and countless punch in the face...then one of his friend smash a metal waterpipe in my head....:D then he run!damn my college days are full of violence...

    im just 5'9" tall =)

I'm not saying there's any moral superiority in not having been in a fight, but I think there is is you can still do the right thing and avoid confrontation in *most* cases.

A couple of years ago for example I was walking home with a couple of friends after a night out. A guy who was drunk took a swing at me as he was walking the other way. He was a lot smaller than me, and a lot drunker, I had two friends with me, he just had his girlfriend. I guess you could say the odds were in my favour! I just yelled at him and faced him down. It could easily have ended with the guy on the floor, but what would have been the point?

Another time I was getting into a cab with some friends including a friend who's parents were from India. Some guy on the pavement shouted "Paki" at our friend, so we all jumped out and eventually forced the guy to apologise withough having to resort to violence. We could have half killed the guy, but again, what would have been the point?

I guess I'm lucky as I said that I'm tall and a big guy. I've been in positions where guys have been bugging my girlfriend, but a quick stare tends to make most people think twice.

Like I said, I'm not scared of confrontation. I play rugby, all my fights have been on the pitch rather than off it. I'm never the first to throw a punch but I'll have no problem getting stuck in if someone on my tem is being hit, kicked or stamped on.

When I was a little girl, I used to fight a lot. Then I grew and when got into college I started Karate. From that moment on, I never touched anyone outside the dojo. I took enough "punishment" at the classes :D

Whew, you can just smell the testosterone in this thread!

I did karate from the age of 11, and since then I've never been in what I would consider a real fight. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe it's just because I'm female and women tend to get picked on less? I don't know.

I do agree with Will, however. There are times when it's right to get involved, if someone is in danger and you can't possibly talk your way out of it.

I don't think I agree about carrying guns, though. I hate guns, and death is so damn final. But I live in the UK, where we're sheltered from needing to carry a gun. I don't know how I would feel if everyone in my neighbourhood carried one.

6'11" is way to tall, I couldn't imagine that, damn. Not only health problems, but simply getting into a car, buying clothes, etc. I'm a size 15 shoe and that's hard enough to find.

My son is 4'11" and 7, very tall. He will easily be passing me up, he actually has to go into the doc extra as the doc is worried about his continued fast growing pace. He was small when he was born so yeah, grows 2-3x more than he should a year. I hope like hell he doesnt' get to be damn near 7'...
