Let's talk about CTR

So I have been noticing lately that my CTR is hovering around 0.3% for the past week. Prior to this I was around 0.5% to 0.7%.

I have been playing around with targeting and maybe just can't quite find what my audience (18-35 males, US only) may be interested in.

Anyone have a similar target audience with better CTR?

My YPN traffic is 100% (or as close as possible) USA.

I read the Yahoo CTR tends to be a bit lower than Google, but I am not sure what I should expect.

    Any thoughts on this topic.

Do keep in mind that yahoo allows unlimited ad units so if you have 10 units your CTR will be very low because each ad unit counts. Google on the other hand only allows three.

Isn't it an unwritten rule with yahoo to only have 3?

how do you get 9%, only one ad, or tons of ads.

course your niche theme would be nice too!

I think 3-4 is recommended. Any more and they may question how serious a publisher you are, IMO.

Just conjecture on my part: I don't work for Y!

I only average about 0.7% CTR. - This has been about the max for me, I think I've optimized the ad position as best as possible.

I've not played with targeting as I have no clue what my users would be interested in!

    Mindblowing CTR!

Can you let me know on how many keywords you advertise and what is your monthly budget. Also, what is your site all about.
