Hello. Me and my parents are planning a road trip during the long Rememberance Day weekend since pro-d days are surrounding those dates. Kinda like the Oprah and Gayle's big adventure except with unfamous people. We live in Vancouver, BC, by the way, and are planning to drive to as far as Vegas. I was hoping people could give some suggestions about cool places to go in Vegas or on the way to Vegas. Thanks, hope to hear some good suggestions
Good suggestions from Nintendo In Vegas, stay @ Palms, Venetian, Paris, Wynn or Bellagio Go to Palms' Ghostbar or Rain Watch Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group How many days are you planning to stay in LV? There are so MANY great things to do & see Have a safe trip!
I would suggest the Grand Cayon and the Hoover Dam. From Vegas you can hit them both in a day. Hoover dam about 25 mins out and the Grand Cayon is like around 3 hours out.
Nintendo - thanks, ill take mt st helens into consideration Jessica - haha, all those hotels seem a little over the roof for us. i think best western or something is the way to go. cubicbale - we're planning to thanks for the suggestions for the natural tourist destinations, but we're on a limited time, so maybe mt st helens and the grand canyon will do for now. thanks can anyone suggest any good malls or shopping districts in the area or on the way to vegas?
you can get good deals on those hotel from hotels.com or similar sites.. and if you order it couple weeks / at least a month in advance you'll get a pretty good deal (except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc..) Forget to tell you, in Oregon you might want to visit Mt Hood & Cannon Beach. Oregon is one of the best scenic state in the US! I believe from VC you can use Hwy 1 route (along the coast). You won't be sleepy driving long hours
at least 8 hours if there's no traffic. i think jetblue or southwest has some cheap flights though. if you're visiting while the weather is still nice i'd check out some of the socal beaches, but as far as cities that are worth visiting in california, san francisco is about it. LA is way too sprawly to feel like a city.
I'm still stumped about where the popular shopping districts are... I've tried searching on Google but there is just way too many results......
