Point my dedicated server to godaddy registered domain name

I'm very new to this web hosting thing. I purchased a dedicated server plan with free 1 IP and I registered a new domain at godaddy.

Now I want that domain to point to my dedicated server with Cpanel Web host manager.

    How do i do that?

I've tried putting two namservers, ns1.vrtservers.net and ns2.vrtservers.net in Godaddy but the domain name doesn't directs to the dedicated server.

I Hope I'll be helped fairly.

    Thanx in advance.

if you have your own whm/cpanel .. just add domain to your cpanel account and change nameserver on your godaddy account (domain ) to ns1.vrtservers.net and ns1.vrtservers.net

Just change the A Record and point to the dedicated server IP
Have your files hosted inside htdocs and you will see your site live.

Your host name should be ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com; but you only have to enter ns1 and ns2 on the host field. Your IP should be the IP/IPs of your dedicated server.

I suppose if you wish to use your custom nameservers you need to install them on your server first of all.
