I noticed that HostGator, HostMonster, and BlueHost are very popular, but I would really like to know which is better overall. I plan on running vBulletin, and when it gets more traffic I will upgrade to a VPS. Based on your experiences, which one should I go with?
According to my experience Hostgator rocks . Using them from last 3+ years and didn't got any kind of problem . Even their online chat support is amazing and always ready to help you in every section . I have used online support for installing new sites and blogs for me sometimes too .
i can suggest godaddy.com sice i use them, but i think that all providers mentioned above are great, choose the cheapest is my advice.
I have a very good experience with this provider (Hostgator). You would get instant online technical support whenever you're seeking help with setting up. I've used Godaddy before, and I would say that they are notorious for overloading their server; thus, your site would have slow response time. To be fair, Godaddy has the best pricing for domain name registration.
I have been using Hostgator for almost 3 years now and highly recommended for others to use it. Plus, Hostgator have their own VPS hosting plan. So in case in the future you want to opt for VPS, the option is already there for you. - Dynashox -
I would say Hostgator is generous with their data transfer. Most hosts are "cheap" in terms of hosting space but these hosts do not often pay enough good staff to support their customers.
No GoDaddy? Anyway, among the three choice, I go for HostGator. I love their marketing strategy of including a free toll-free number for subscribers.
Out of the three I recommend Hostgator. I costs a bit more than the other two but if you can afford it go with them.
Me personally do not trust giant hosts, so naither of hosgator or blue(host)monster (the same host) are better for em than bodhost.co.uk.
+1 for hostgator. I saw lots of positive reveiw about hostgator. And hostmonster their server is slow, so do not go with them.
HostGator is without doubt the most reliable of these. But it's quite expensive. Why don't you consider other possible options like iPage and FatCow? I've been working both with HostGator and with these ones and they're equally good.
