I have a domain with my partner that is just over a month old and it was given it's baptism of PR0 in the past week, so there was definitely an update. As far seeing changes, most people won't see any because most PageRank won't change.
No offense, but everyone says that. Can you be more descriptive? What kind of links are you building? What specific type of content do you have? While there have been some isolated reports of legit backlinks disappearing, the overwhelming majority of backlinks vanishing are low quality links. Can you give some specific examples of the backlinks you've lost? What kind of sites were they on? What type of backlinks were they?
I dont think there is any Google update, as far as am consign. If there is any PR update, it will be written allover the web.
Some peoples page rank will remain the same even if there is a update and also Google doesn't update all sites at once. I know there is some sort of update been going on the past few days but not a major one. We shouldn't be worried about it just let it happen if it doesn't it won't hurt your site in any way shape or form.
utter total nonsense. the PR of new sites goes to 0/10 all the time, every day. an update does not need to occur for the PR of a fresh site to go to 0/10. a PR of 0/10 just means Google acknowledges the existence of the site. the PR of a new site will go to 0/10 even if it has enough backlinks to push it to 5/10, or whatever. as for most PR not changing, it's been six months since the last update, so of course a lot of PR will be changing.
There are pages and domains that have sat with no PageRank for YEARS. Getting to PR0 is not an automatic thing. Indexing is acknowledging the site. PR0 is acknowledging that the site has been noted by others and isn't complete crap. It is still a step up and requires an update, even if they grant it more regularly and easily than a substantial PageRank.
