A little about sandbox

My domain name in *.com zone was registered at 05 march, 2010. I think that i trapped in sandbox because i made nearly 50-100 profile links with major sites in the short time.
In november, 05, will be 6 months from the date of domain registration.
    - Is my site automatically will get out from the sandbox, or this period will be indefinitely long?
    - How i can be sure that it's sandbox?
    - How i can made the sandbox's term shorten?
    Thanks a lot!

Keep doing link building but slowly slowly and quality links, form various places - not from only profiles, wrok on bookmarking, directories, articles, press release, classifieds, create blogs, forums, Networking sites. Get good result by various link building. No worries :)

Sandbox can take as long as 12 months, but link building might shorten sandbox period.

    Hi, ancifer2002

In my own experiences, all new sites would be in sandbox before they build enough trusts with Google. Of course, the period would be different. You could make the sandbox term shortening via building back links from niche relative sources (usually with high PR) and keeping updating your site with original contents.

    all the best,

It isn't really a sandbox. Your site maybe under a filter or penalty. Is it a new domain or was it previously registered?

It's really new domain without history. No spam, no other black-hat seo technologies. Only quick profile link building migth penalize it. But it's unbelievable - everybody can kick out his competitors with only 100 profile links :)))

Is your site indexed or are you just not getting any rankings/traffic?

Yes and no. If the competitor's site is new, and if the competitor has not received many quality links then yes it is possible. But, the effect would be for only a short while anyway.

Ok, a little following question: i have two domains, registered at the same date - may, 2010. They were unused for all that time after registration. If i will upload content to these domains and start promoting their - have i less chances to get filter or trap to the Sandbox?

So your site is indexed but not ranking for any keywords? What happens when you search your domain name with no extension? What happens when you search a unique sentence from your content? There are so many things that might be happening and usually it is due to lack of proper on-site and off-site SEO.

I am fairly certain that the clock starts when Google first crawls your site. So, it is not about when you purchased the domain, but rather when you first add content and a get a link or two.

When the sandbox penalty was very new, we here at DP thought that it would be a good idea to start a bunch of websites with different themes, let them age a bit, and then sell them. The time that they were held would be an incubation period. In fact, I still own the domain name, "domain-hatching.com." :)

Sandbox just a urban legend. I build 1 million back links for a half year old site from day 1, no problem at all.

Suppose some get flagged, some don't.

That is your opinion, not fact.

That is like saying "since not everyone wins the lottery, the lottery must not exist".

I can assure you the sandbox is or at least was, real. . . not a legend.

That is right, it's much better than "1 million back links". Google likes quality, not number...

Looks like any other kind of filter, not a sandbox.

In any case the solution is to buy some links on high PR and traffic rich trusted sites.

Building backlinks as much similar as possible to natural incoming links process and update your website offten by unique content.
Just stop for a minute and let think about it.
This is the best advice ever, where are any penalty from search engines.
If you'll do it with head, process to going out from penalty will be much shorter.
Not true that you need only quality links with PR, there true that it must look same as natural process.
