So basically all the stats from the last few days are now correct? And as I understand it, even if the stats show up to us slow, you still have them all calculated correct? And will update it to the stat page accordingly?

Last night I (You) had a problem with FTP. I upped some file, but many of them are doubled. lenght is OK, but they aere just twice on site.

 

Yep had that going on for a while too. Confused me totally especially when I was moving files to new folders. Seems to have stopped today.

What do you mean they are different $? Obviously, if you get more downloads, they're going to increase.

 

I realize I got bit in the a$$ earlier in the day repeating FileSonic's promise the compiler was working only to have them admit within an hour that it had been completely inaccurate for some time (probably since last night), but as far as the stats are concerned at present, the site is just coming back online after a "maintenance" session. I would wager they are still performing changes behind the scenes and the compiler will not be accurate (if it even works at all) until they are done. I wouldn't panic for a couple hours at least.

Edit: Didn't realize FS-IT was responding as I was typing my post. Guess I was wrong and they are not working behind the scenes. And yes, my stats have been frozen since the date change and maintenance as well.

 

We just deployed a new stats engine. Doing some final tests...

 

You're a bit off on this one . The compiler was fine, but lagging, until one point during the day today, when it stopped entirely. We restarted it and caught up on all of today's stats. As for yesterday or the day before, there was nothing to catch up on.

The new stats engine is now live, so stats for 2010-10-20 (Amsterdam time) are 100% live and up-to-date from my standpoint. If you don't think this is right, let me know. Don't forget that the site was down for the for 20 minutes or so, so obviously no one got downloads for those 20 minutes.

You guys should no longer need to worry about stats 'freezing' (fingers crossed).

I'm not trying to "call you out" but when 700 downloads are added to my total for the day in the couple hours after a "lag" is corrected and when I supposedly had only 950 downloads in the 20hrs of the "day" prior to the correction, that tells me the compiler had been far behind for quite some time. You have to excuse me for saying "since last night." I was referring to my time which is still part of your "today". Midnight for FSn is 6:00pm for me, so while it is 1:00am for FSn right now, it is 7:00pm for me.

As far as the stats since "midnight" (one hour ago), I'm showing 4 total downloads and have shown those since the system came back after maintenance (and yes, I have cleared cookies). When I have 1500 downloads on a very slow day, you cannot tell me that 4 downloads in one of the busiest hours of the day is correct. See what I mean?

 

Looking into today's stats. Will respond shortly...

BTW: Looking back over my post which kicked this off, when I said "repeating FileSonic's promise the compiler was working", I should have said "repeating FileSonic's promise the stats were working". My intention was not to indicate that the compiler itself was not working but to indicate that the stats page was inaccurate. What some folk fail to realize is that the count is always being maintained (compiled) whether or not the stats page is accurate. I can see how my poor phrasing could contribute to such an attitude and you were correct to dispute that wording.

 

Now this time i think there some work out there to improve stats coz now my stats i can say 100% frozen.

Butt as we know they will work it out ASAP.
