To get profile links, I think you can register some forums and add your site to forum profile setting page.
I don't like either of those methods personally because they are still basically forms of spamming. Article marketing, social bookmarking and directory submission are my preferred methods.
Every link to my site has the same words. You saying this is bad? I can't see why - it is the site name, after all. Personally I'm a big fan of backlinks just appearing by magic because people *want* to link to you. Shame it takes so long to get to that point.
Blogging, Forum Posting, Blog Commenting, Article Submission and Sharing are some of my Link Building Techniques I'm using ever since.
I actually do this method. However there are few blogs who offer signature with keywords in it. So basically this is a hard method. Personally I'd rather choose article submission, PR submission, blog posting and bookmarking.
I suggest you to get a blogroll link from some of high ranked site (having high PR, site should be popular). Reciprocal link is good method still it does work. but you have to be check your backlink often because of bad link partner.
so far from my experience best back link method work for me was article submission and wiki pages creation...
