    Hey.

I want to know a few things about SEO.

First thing, I know of is, Google does add your website menu to their Search Engine when they feel the need and if it would be an advantage for the users. A method I thought of about is, Can we see Page Source of those sites who have a Menu at Google and copy the header ? Will this also add a menu of our website to Google ?

That's one thing. Now about the Page-rank.

So I have a website where I generated a few ( about 1-3 clicks ) to my website from high ranked websites by Alexa. Like Techcrunch, TUAW, Lifehacker, Cricinfo : All of course with .com domains. These websites are very high ranked and I have a baclink on them.

Still I feel my website is not so much benefited by it. What's the reason ?

Does each page have a separate rank or the website overall ? ( Page Rank ) .
The backlink generated from a High PR website/page is actually a PR increased of the page or the whole website.

I am talking about Blog pages btw.

Yes, getting backlinks from dofollow high pagerank websites can help your website to get better pagerank. But you should note that Google updates pageranks every 3-4 months, so you should not expect to see improvement on your pagerank immediately after making some backlinks for it.
Also pagerank is defined for every page. So maybe the pagerank of the home page of your website is 4 but most internal pages have PR 0 .
And the other point you should consider is that pagerank is not everything. Pagerank is only one factor among hundreds of other factors for ranking results. So don't concentrate on increasing the pagerank of your website only. Try to write good unique content for your website and make some backlinks from your website from quality pages, then you see the traffic of your website is increasing.

What is the basic difference between a do-follow and a no-follow blog.

What would backlinking a no-follow blog do ?

If you install seo toolbar on firefox browser, you can view the PR of any web page.

The most high ranked page of most websites is usually the home page.

PR ranges from 0 to 10

I hope i have answered all your questions.

NoFollow is a linking attribute and blogs that have nofollow linking attribute in their comments are referred to as nofollow blogs.

DoFollow blogs are those that have removed this nofollow linking attribute from their comments section, since most blogs come with the nofollow linking attribute enabled.

Essentially, the nofollow attribute instructs search engines not to follow the link to its indicated destination and by implication, such links do not count towards "ranking backlinks" by Google. Other search engines however seem to still count such links.

These links however still pass traffic to the indicated website/url.

From the above explanation, it should be clear why internet marketers search to see that blogs have removed this nofollow attribute, so that the backlinks they place on these blogs count towards ranking with Google.

You should not talk only about Google PR and not to talk about topics, trust and credibility of the site .... This is also very important factors for search engines ... especially when Google PR update is increasingly rare in recent times ...

Dofollow blog will help to push your keyword ranking in search engine while a dofollow blog will not going to pass pr link juice to your site.
