the FTP upload speed is pretty slow today ,only 30-60 kb

 

The reason FileSonic pays in USD is rather simple, they sell their premiums in USD. A change in currency payments would thus require a change in currency collection. Moving to Euros for the sale of premiums would probably have a negative impact on sales as it would add a level of unfamiliarity for US customers who comprise the largest share of the premium sales base (which is why the US and UK are "A" level countries). Thus, such a move seems impractical.

 

Filemanager bugs:
- when I scroll down the page and try to rename or move files the rename/move box appear on the top of the page but I can't scroll up to use it
when I have to rename or move files in folders with a lot of files in it I can't use rename and move functions
- when I create a new folder it never stops loading, I have to close it and open a new browser tab

p.s. my browser is chrome

 

well instead of moving to euros they could simply increase the premium accounts price to be equal to how much it's worth in euros, for example, now 1 euro = 1.39 usd, 1.39x 9 ~ 12 usd a month, i think that would be a fair price if you consider the value of stuff being shared on FS, and i'm not talking about the typical stuff that u can find in others hosts like HT or RS, but really unique stuff that users wouldn't mind to pay like 2$ more to get.

i mean FS has busted the uploaders balls for so long so why not bust the costumers for a change

 

What is with a new payment option?

I stopped uploading files and promoting old ones because I am not able to withdraw my money. I found some hosts that use AlertPay (uploading.com, turboshare.com...)or MoneyBookers (filefactory.com).
The excuse that we got here (they do not work with file sharing services) is not good for me. I just opened a file factory account and I will be using them instead of Filesonic. I will be back to FS if they find a solution for this problem, because of my files that generate earnings (that I can withdraw right now).

There are so many payment options that can replace ePassport:
MoneyBookers
AlertPay
Payoneer
OKPay
EntroPay

I have an affiliate website for web hosting. I receive checks on $65. It would be great if you can do something like that. I am willing to accept fees of $5-10 dollars per check on amount greater or equal of $100. I think that is reasonable.

Or, maybe, you don't want to find a solution because you won't need to pay those people who can't use paypal or webmoney and who are already register and uploaded thousands of files than generate earnings. On short run that makes great income for you, but on long run it will hurt your business. If you want to be "The world's best file sharing sites" you need to act quickly.

 

If they sell accounts in $ it's ok if they pay in $, we could complain if they sell accounts in € and pay affiliates in $ (as some other hosts do)
Increase the cost of accounts wouldn't be good for account selling, medium users don't want to spend more than $10 a month for file hosting accounts

I think we shouldn't interfere with their price policy. They already pay enough, don't complain...

Gotta agree with casolari here. There is a big difference between a $9 price point and a $12 price point. Besides, considering that FileSonic has only recently begun to recover from August and September, the timing of a fee increase is extremely poor.

 

FileSonic has been making wire transfers for affiliates in this situation. Many have even posted thanks in the thread for the transfers even though the fees are less than ideal. Contact Hish and I'm sure he'll help you out.

 

Fsonic is going on well except very few complaints. Thanks for recovering from full of probs to very few.

How it will be if u give an option, search option in manage files. I didn't see this option in many (or almost of all file hosts that i know, i don't know if anyone is providing). If you can come up with this, this will be very useful for the uploaders.

Just got an email from my downloaders that they cannot download any of my files as a free user .

"Thanks for the download..but filesonic is only available to members..correct? Asking because there's no option for free users. Thanks PC"


I tried it out and this is what appear when i click the free user button.

PPD Stats is frozen today

 

I'm able to download fine as a free user. This is the message you get when you're downloading something else, or when someone from your IP is downloading at the same time. Another possibility is that you started a download within the last 30 minutes but never completed it. In that case, try clearing your cookies.

 

Stats are fine.

 

Not fine because stats is no update real from few hours.
