A few tips: 1. You can experiment with your ad to increase your CTR(hich will in turn increase your Quality Score) - for example 48 hour logo design... instead of 2 custom logo.... 2. Do people really want 2 logo designs? If not don't put that in your ad simply offer them alternative versions. 3.On your landing page the offer graphic must be the first thing the users see - many people will not scroll down 4.Again "Logo Design" takes a huge part of the page - what must take the most attention is your selling point (like 48hr turnaround) 5. Still landing page: many people don't know the difference between GIF and a pixel. In other words "all the standard formats..." is not a benefit - it's a feature. Find out what makes your customers really want to reach out for their wallets (like a logo that attracts 10x more customers and improves the status of their business) and focus and letting them know that. There is more but I think you get my drift.
It just takes time for your add to gain good CTR and quality score as it follows. Just make sure you target specific keywords that will end up in a sale. Of course, the competition will be higher as well as the first page bid, but it will benefit you in the end.
Few ideas: Look at the search terms and add the ones with low CTR to the negative keyword list - this should increase your CTR and reduce CPC a bit Narrow your Geo targeting, based on AdWords reports (or "Campaigns" tab --> "Dimensions" --> View: Geographic) In both cases remove elements which aquired enough data - statistically sinificant - use the function "binomdist" on Excel and look for elements with significance below 5%
The more targeted and the more relevant your website is to your ads, the better the quality. Long tailed keyword in the group, ad, and title of website, as well as the content will give you the best quality
I am assuming you want to lower your cpc right? With high competition keywords like logo design, you will be paying higher cpc than you would for let's say brass toenail clippers But you can set cpc max for each campaign. I would suggest using Google traffic estimator to play around with your keywords, max cpc and daily budget to try and come up with a good balance between placement and cost. Once you do this, work on your ad copy. If you have very effective ad copy it doesn't matter if your ads are in slightly lower positions. Also, make sure you are linked to your analytics account so you can get in depth metrics on what is working and what is not. It may take a few weeks to get solid metrics but with only a 24 hr lag (usually) you can get a fair idea quickly!
