Hi Guys, So for a long time now I have coded and designed websites. I cant really compete with the cheap prices from overseas so I decided to start working for myself for a change. I found one booming industry could be facebook fan services so I went and created a funky new site, organised a provider and have been marketing it now the past week. I have had a about 12-15 new customers in our first week so I am quite pleased with that. I am after some advice on other promotion ideas or methods that I might not of thought of. I gave adwords a try, all that did was waste my money of expensive clicks with little to no conversion. The most lucrative was forums like this, being helpful and making suggestions etc. Obviously facebook is one of our biggest methods. We are building our own fanpage, adding hundreds of fans daily and even cold selling to facebook pages with very few fans. Is there anything else you guys could suggest?
Did you try these? backpage.com, craigslist.org, groups.google.com? Or you can keep inviting folks from here too. I will check your page out!
I have a suggestion. Change your current font to Facebook's. This is what they have: font-family:"lucida grande",tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px;color:#333; It will give your service a Facebook's feel.
Have you tried article marketing? you should sign up with ezine articles and you could write helpful short articles on web design then in your resource box urge people to contact you by your preffered means. Could help get some new leads for free. I have found article marketing to be pretty successful. I have also been burnt by google adwords.
