That may be one of the most ridiculous statements I've heard here in a very long time.

There are many, many, many, many MANY more factors than just the number of backlinks and the PR of them to determine your pagerank. Authority and number of outbound links on the page are just a couple.

    I've seen a page go from pr0 to pr1 with a single pr1 backlink.

I've also seen a page not go from pr0 to a pr1 after having hundreds of pr1+ backlinks.

I think the quality of the backlinks determine the pr value of the page of yours,it doesn't depend on the quantities.if you get only several high pr backlinks.your pr will improve a lot.lol

You are right. Im talking about single page PR1 site.
1000 PR1 that have tons of OBL will no give much PR juice
And backlink at sitewide or blogroll at PR1 home page with many PR1 inner page of course will provide very good PR juice

I must be doing something wrong then I have dozens of backlinks and have been getting 300-400 unique visitors daily to my blog and STILL a freaking page rank ZERO.
I've been writing articles and trying to do everything the right way. Google sucks.
If anyone can get me to a PR2 please PM me with a price. My site is DisplacedGuy dot com

    Thank you!

can we trust the traffic sellers online ? they advertise like we will build backlinks from PR9 for your website // is it worth buying backlinks from sites like that ????
suggest any traffic seller sites (low price with best quality)

It's not based on the quantity. Quality is much more important to boost PR. So it's really hard to tell the exact number of backlinks you need.

1 quality link from a page with a PR is enough to get you a PR.
PR is up to date every few months then you'll have to wait.
PR calculation is not exactly known and is fairly complex but for accurate understanding according to your level of knowledge, consider that the highest nomber of backlink you get with the highest PR is the best.
I would advice you to get only Dofollow backlink from pages with PR > 5 (even a small number). Concentrate on quality and save your time with BL from pages with PR<5

There is not any exact term or condition, it depends on quality of links also.

It is not a matter of quantity only but also QUALITY of backlinks..google "high PR forums or blog" and then you just enter some comments with links to your site. normally .edu and .gov has high PR so you should go there

Keep in mind moreover that once you achieved a PR, you can lose it if you stop to keep your site update.

2 quality back links are enough for pr1. Getting pr depends on the quality not on quantity.
If you need i can provide you the quality links.
