Can you get banned from Adsense your getting myspace traffic?

    Hey there,

I was thinking of starting advertising thru myspace. I wanted to make sure that google adsense allows this before I start? If I send a large amount of traffic thru myspace is it possible that I would get banned from google adsense?

    thanks in advance

I'm not sure that Google could ban you at all based on where referrers are from. That just doesn't make sense

As long as the visitors are natural traffic, you won't have any problems ;)

There's kind of two different questions here:

    1. Can you drive traffic to your adsense-equipped site from MySpace?

    Yes.

    2. Can you spam mass bullletins to your "friends" or from someone else's account to their friends to drive traffic to your adsense-equipped site?

Risky. If google thinks you're spamming, they'll drop you. There's probably a certain threshold here: Good luck on figuring it out precisely. Needless to say, if you just started a myspace site yesterday and are planning to pay 50$ to send a bulletin out to 50,000 friends on myspace, you may not remain in adsense for very long ;)

How can you place google adsense ads on myspace when myspace doesn't allow javascript? I tried placing ads on myspace, but nothing show up because javascript is not allowed. So if you know how to get around that please pm me.

To my knowledge, you can't. Though you can refer visitors to your site that has adsense on it :)

you cant put adsense on a myspace page.. it's against the myspace TOS, i *think* it's against the Adsense TOS, and besides, you cant put JS on myspace anyway.

there have been a few threads here about people getting banned from Adsense after sending out Mass myspace bulletins...

    too risky for my chicken-blood..

He was talking about Google placing ads on MySpace not individual Adsense users. Google has a special partnership with MySpace to deliver ads to them.

it's not the traffic itself that is bad - it's how you get it..

if you "spam" 50,000 'friends' with a bulletin about your site, this would be bad.

people simply going to your myspace page, then following a link to your site is fine.

The words "advertising" in conjunction with "myspace" means "I want to spam 50 billion people with a bulletin spam bot", which will get you banned from Adsense faster than Quagmire running for some tissues after seeing Lois sunbathing topless.

Google just recently invested $600M into Mypsace's ad campaign, therefore giving them most of the advertising power at Mypsace.com. Also it's against Myspace TOS to advertise any affiliate programs directly (bullentin, page, forums, etc.) but you may advertise your OWN website like all those musicians are doing.

Google might ban you if it thinks that you are resorting to spam.
Myspace bulletin spamming is a big risk.

I don't see any issues with getting traffic from MySpace. It's just like getting traffic from any other site on the internet.
