I always coded complex websites for years...then i realized all the marketing i did on them was completely useless and that i would never be able to make it work, maybe my websites were crap with no goal or maybe it was a hopeless quest since i didn't had money to be invested... It was a strange feeling creating such complicated websites that would remain pr1 for years and with miserable traffic that would give no more than some miserable 2 bucks per month (cpm or cpc) Yes, it was strange... So i guess since its something so impossible for me i will need a partner to help me with the marketing. I share 50% of profits...
Here is my 2 cents... website is just a start... do not make it too complicated.. content is king... You need to continuously add more content.. that is what keep google coming back... #1 classifieds site is craigslist.. their site is dead simple.. what makes it stand out is the endless contribution from users.. content rich..style is the after thought.. so if you spend all the time tweaking your website to perfection.. you are not setting the priority right..
well, what if we do the partner since i can do marketing but not the website, i want to make a website whom i think will generate a good compensation in the near future but i dont know where to start since i dont have the knowledge over creating own website but i started to market it.

Offer something of value for free for your visitors, like a free ebook or report. Have an opt-in form on your sites so people can sign up and receive the ebook/report. Building a list is key to making money online.
You can make a business creating websites and selling them .. you don't have to be a marketer if you don't want to ..

websites marketing is indeed a science, can be many ways for marketing, but in general, or the need for a viable short-term and long-term marketing plans, with different marketing methods, such as seo, ppc, etc.
It looks like you are talking about 2 different things here - 1. Marketing of your website 2. SEO For Marketing of your website obviously you have to have something of value that people want to buy. Remember its not how brilliant (or complicated) your website is, but does it have value for the end user and are they interested in purchasing it ? From what you wrote it sounds like not even you know exactly what you are trying to sell your end user. That is problem one that needs to be sorted. Once you have a clear focus then you can market that and you have a better chance of hitting your target. For SEO you need to do a number of things including putting enough content on your pages for the search engines to suck it up. It needs to be SEO friendly (have meta tags, titles etc) an have a continual stream of new content being added as well as have links from other sites. Once you have those you will start ranking. I suggest reading some SEO tutorials and once you have figured out your focus then build your site around that. Good luck!

Linking from good website really helps to improve PR and traffic. Ask people to review your website and make changes. if you dont have time or not interested in marketing sell your website in ebay and other places.
Actually $2 a month via cpm or cpc is still above the average for many people starting out, most make $0.00 each and every month
