Resubmitting to dmoz

Discussion in 'ODP / DMOZ' started by sweetnal, Oct 14, 2010.

I have tried to submit my website to dmoz serveral times in the past few years. It is stated that you can not resubmit your website or else they will not list you. But once a year I am trying can someone tell me how this works? Is it ok to submit once a year?

    Thank you!

It took almost 2 years to get my site listed. Patience and don't resubmit.

Somethings tells me that resubmitting will do nothing other than piss off the already underworked, over paid and lazy slew of do nothing, has been ODP crew... Most of the pages there are dormant like that of the operators.

    Petition for what?

Its not like they are of any consequence in the SEO race anymore.

You can always apply to become an editor of your niche, help relieve some of the back log.

I think you would get banned if instead of adhering to editorial policy, instead you decide to skip to your listing and approve it ahead of the others.

Well I thought I was being impatient after waiting 8 months. I guess I'll probably have to wait a lot longer.

On another thread was someone saying that his site was listed after four years. I guess eight months is not too much. I waited 2 years and still waiting.
    Don't discourage.

You can complain to google to help get the clone removed from their site...
You can also complain to AOL, but good luck getting the contact info for that... the editors won't give a link ;)

I see you are resorting to quoting people who are banned and the quote was from last October, you must really be getting desperate for something to write these days.

at least my comment was about the topic rather then one of the posters, so I can see the only thing you still have to talk about is ME.

While I am flattered, turning every topic into something about me really is hijacking, and you really should stop before you get banned again.

Besides, just because something is old does not mean it's still not valid... you as an ODP editor should be all to familiar with that. So again, did I do something wrong, or are ya just trolling as usual? You really REALLY should try to be helpful now and again!

Its not advisable to resubmit your site to dmoz, I've tried that and no matter how hard I try I didn't get included and I discover in some forum that once you submit your site you don't need to resubmit it because they may think you are trying to spam.

    Erm, but you do....

This topic is about resubmitting to the ODP, my post was in reply to the topic of someone not liking the system, so I pointed them to where they could complain to, which was certainly about the ODP... your post was about me. Are you somehow suggesting it wasn't?
