Usually you want to match the AdSense to your theme, try to make it blend in. BUT, sometimes you'll get better luck if you don't blend them and make the add stand out.

Experiment with both.

Good working and having good traffice in replies. My too is new guy in seo , google adsense and analytics, so most of the thing is not according to the standard. Add a video to your site, go to youtube, and look for a relevant video to your keyword, try to get a video that doesnt have their link inside,
else create your own, it can be just a powerpoint slide show

 

Keyword research is the No.1 factor in determining whether or not your website would be a success. Don't pick ideas from thin air and think that it would work; do your research on it so you don't spend time on keywords that gets less than 100 unique visitors a month.

Next do not put all your eggs in one basket. In here it means do not only rely your traffic from google. One google slap would mean 0 earnings for weeks, even months. Introduce other traffic sources to your site by ranking it on other search engines like yahoo or bing, writing articles on ezinearticles, squidoo and other article sites and linking it back to your site, bookmarking it on digg, reddit, slashdot, rss submit your site and upload videos related to your niche.

After you've got the traffic stable and running, the next factor would be the placement of your ads. Experiment with your adsense placement but for starters you can try placing it in the center of the page, above the fold as user eyes begin in top left corner or middle top and then move to center of browser window.
