I just wonder how effective 3D will be on such a small screen. I have my couple of 3D phone/mobile names just in case, but I would think the 3D effect is much better on a big screen...just my opinion..

3D Gaming is what will push 3D TV that bit more next year. Sony has some big hitters releasing early in 2011 and I believe all of them are 3D enabled.

Totally agree with you that 3d on a big screen is best, same for normal movies as well, in a multi billion industry many phone companies years ago decided to put movies on mobiles and guess what, they sold. 3D in your pocket is going to be a fab thing, having 3d movies on the phone is only half of it, 3d camera,3d gaming and 3d web etc... will make up the other half. The 3ds has a screen the size of most Smartphones and is set for big things, only difference being the smartphone will be able to make calls (The only thing i think the 3ds cant do). 3D mobiles will be massive and cheaper to buy than the average $1500 3DTV, not everyone has that kind of money plus the additional 3d bluray player ( add another $250 to that total). Spending $200 on a 3d mobile or a 3d console will allow everyone to afford a piece of 3D magic GLASSES FREE, come on, none believers beware........

Sean Mitchell, CEO of Movidius, commented, “Mobile phones are the place where 3D technology will gain real adoption the fastest. 3D entertainment may have started in the cinema, but the phone is something people experience every day. And having recently updated their TV sets to HD, consumers are not keen to upgrade again immediately to a 3D TV. Mobile phones on the other hand, are updated every 12-18 months. Also, many fundamental aspects of phones make them ideal for using our new Myriad 3D technology for viewing and capturing 3D images and displaying existing 2D content in full 3D without any need for special glasses.”
