Turks Hyjack Plane to Protest Popes Visit?

What a bunch of shit bags... What's next? Hyjack a KFC? Burn something? Cut off another head? What the hell is the matter with these people? Life is too short to get so worked up about such stupid things.

The odd thing here is the Pope did nothing wrong. It is of course a nice excuse to get mad though.

"BRINDISI, Italy (CNN) -- Passengers from a hijacked Turkish plane carrying 113 people are leaving the aircraft after the two unarmed Turks who hijacked the plane, protesting the pope's upcoming visit to Turkey, agreed to release them."

    "two unarmed Turks"

WTH is wrong with the flight crew, if nowadays they still can't prevent two unarmed dicks from hijacking a plane?

And why do people really give a crap what the Pope does if they're not Catholic?

    Yep fucking ridiculous.
Again and again this "peaceful" religion is doing these things.
When are we going to stand up for ourselves?

That's so fucking ridiculous. I love how people from certain religions kill and harm people to protest acts that didnt cause any harm. (Harm in this case being the passengers fear for their liveS)... Or when someone gets killed they kill like 8 people in return. Uneducated brainwashed POS's.

I'm agnostic, but I prefer Catholics/Christians//Baptists because when someone says something insulting they dont hijack planes, kill people, or cause a big scene and demand "apologies"... just a bunch of whiney idiots.

Hakan Ekinci is a conscientious objector who had run away to Albania during military service in the Turkish army, the BBC's Sarah Rainsford reports.

He was seeking political asylum there, saying he had converted to Christianity eight years ago and could no longer be forced to serve in a Muslim army.

He charted his efforts to gain asylum in letters to a well-known Turkish pacifist group on the internet.

According to his most recent letter posted last month, he believed his application for asylum had been refused and he was about to be forced to return home.

There is another letter from the same Hakan Ekinci on the Internet - this one an address to Pope Benedict, our correspondent adds.

In it the soldier pleads with the Pope for help with his asylum claim as a Christian.

Again he says he has been forced to join the army against his will and claims he was imprisoned and ill-treated for refusing.

The Turkish foreign ministry confirmed for the BBC that the hijacker, who is 28, was on the run from the army.

Separately, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler said that Mr Ekinci had faced arrest and transfer to the military authorities on arrival in Istanbul.

Mr Guler added that Mr Ekinci may bluffed the airliner's pilot into believing he had at least one accomplice on the plane,

That explains why the plane wasn't flown into buildings or used to kill others. A Christian convert seeking political asylum from serving in a muslim army.

It did sound strange that no one was threatened or hurt. Now we know why.

Let's all agree to call them hijacking shitbags. Just so happens that the hijackers always seem to be representing a particular religion. But for you yo-yo, I will just refer to them as Hijacking Shitbags.

    Feel better?

How convenient that there is no mention of a shooting in an Amish school in Pennsylvania killing 6 Amish children. Why? Because the gunman was not a Muslim? So you prefer to concentrate on the Turks instead?

No heads were removed. What is your point? Sickos come in all flavors and religions, or lack there of. No one is disputing that. Nor is anyone condoning it. I would have gladly mentioned my disdane for that moron, but I am not sure where to post that. I mean on one hand he killed Amish, (its a religion) and on the other hand, it is general chat. Who knows anymore. I am gonna PM nintendo from now on before posting.

    Amish are Bible-believing Christians.

And as far as I know, nobody died in the hijacking of the plane (could be wrong at this point). However, the fact that you prefer to highlight news over the hijacking which "coincidentally" involved Muslims and conveniently "ignore" a crime that was most certainly commited by a non-Muslims does leave one room for the conclusion that you are on a smear campaign against Islam, and only on Islam. You could have made a balanced report above with the inclusion of the Amish story, since the press conference about the Amish shootings and the plane hijacking occured at almost the same time.

And yeah, I do watch CNN and BBC, I have both channels on my satellite network. You do not fool me :D

Mia doesn't need to fool you, you just made a fool of yourself. Perhaps you should take a break and go spend some time updating yourself on the latest news. Apparently you've not really read it, based upon your foolish comments ;)

After you get updated, you are welcome to come back and apologize :D

You could not have possibly watched them live on TV and had pay attention with your remarks above. What you propose happened did not, in either case.

Again, spend some time updating yourself. Here, I'll even help you:

Go to yahoo news and type in "amish murders" Now read. Compare what happened to what you "think" happened.

Next, read my first post in this thread regarding the hijacking. Note what it says. Read the link.

When you get through, feel free to come back and apologize for not being up to speed on current affairs. Or bow out silently and move on to the next denial. Fair enough?
