I paid $10 for preorder box and they'll give a discount when it arrives.. Any clue when they'll release the actual copy? I bought it at Fry's but then they had no clue..
Yes, I actually had an article about is on my site The release date for 2142 (PC only) is October 10.
Found this.. "With an October release set several months ago it's not much of a surprise, but the official Battlefield 2142 website now notes that the game has gone gold. Look for it in stores around October 17. EA and DICE are pleased to announce that Battlefield 2142 has gone gold. Meaning that after months of internal testing and balancing, the game has been handed over to the quality assurance team for final testing. Congratulations to everyone involved, and a big thank you to everyone involved in the Beta testing. "
I'm waiting for Enemy Territory Quake Wars myself. BF2142 seems just like BF2 with new skins and models
I'm looking forward to Splinter Cell: Double agent and BF 2142, but I'm more looking forward to the Wii Already preordered it. BF2142 doesn't have an improved engine indeed, but it still looks damn nice and I like the futuristic aspect of it, I see it as something new
BF 2142's beta was open, people were able to play the full game (beta stage though) for free... And the graphics weren't improved, only changed to a different style I don't know if there's a demo out yet, as I never download demos
I never tried battlefield, so it should be new to me hehe...I loved playing halif life 2, episode one.. Do you think I can play on Sony S460 Centrino 1.73 Pci Express 6200 Geforce go 128 mb overclock to 300/600 2gb 533mhz PC-4200 Ram With this setting, I was able to play episode 1 Half life 2 with no lag
I'm afraid not... Your processor and videocard aren't good enough I think. Steam games aren't as heavy as Battlefield 2. With my current PC I am urged to play the game with low graphics as well
silverbalde is right by the looks of the sys req. Minimum System Requirements 1.7 Ghz CPU 512 MB RAM 128 MB video card supporting 1.4 shaders (ATI Radeon 8500 / NVIDIA FX 5700 or above) Windows XP Operating System (does not work on Windows 2000/Me) Recommended System Requirements: 2.66 Ghz CPU 1024 MB RAM 256 MB video card supporting 1.4 shaders (ATI Radeon X700 / NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or above) Windows XP Operating System (does not work on Windows 2000/Me) so while you could probably get by with what you have, I bet it would be "chunky" at best.
centrino 1.73 is around 2.66 pentium 4,, so i'm tangling around there if it doesn't work, does this mean time for a new laptop?
it's always time for a new one it's just that some of us can't upgrade every 3.37 months when the one we have becomes obsolete I bet you could get by but it won't be blazing. I didn't realize there was a conversion factor between the C's and P4's
