No, Google is definately not spidering gmail accounts. Spiders don't crawl anything that requires a log in. What you are seeing is the PR for http://mail.google.com. You'll see the same thing if you log into your blogger account (it's a PR 9).

I think that faspian is a noob, and is asking a question to get answers and not <sarcasm>. Maybe some of you can stop treating him like an idiot with your dumbass padded posts.

Remember, "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people."

edit: Summer, do you think that PR passes from Blogger to its subdomains? Is it a valid link?

Subdomains, like www.myblog.blogspot.com? If that's what you mean, then no, I don't think hosting your blog with blogger will give you a PR boost.

Yeah, exactly. My blog got a PR4/5 (depends on the datacenter) pretty quick, and I was wondering if it was partly due to it being a blogger blog.

No, it got a PR 4/5 because you are awesome :). If you page through the "next blog" feature on blogspot, you'll see that most blogs are a PR0, a few are PR3, even less are PR4, etc.

Hehe. Yes, my wife noticed this when I got her a Gmail acount a few years ago, it was a PR9! She would have tried to sell links if I didn't stop her.

I guess it would be highly dependent on the # and quality of addresses in the to/cc/bcc lines.
