Failed Reconsideration Request

Hello all, I have a huge problem that has just occurred. I recently filed a reconsideration request with Google through the Webmaster Tools for one of my sites. Instead of my ranking increasing from the request, it dropped more than 30 positions! This is extremely disappointing to me, and I need to know whether there is any chance of recovery after this last-ditch effort to help my site. What do you guys think?!

As the previous posters have mentioned; You should correct everything first that might have caused the penalty, then you can submit a reconsideration request.

Depending on what was wrong will define what you should do. If you were cloking, etc black hat, you are lucky. If you only received a 30 penalty, then it is mostlikely some type of aggressive linking concept. If so, check out where the links you were getting came from. If it was more than 1 link per site, that's not good. If you have cross linked between your sights, then remove them ASAP. the other sites will get hit next. What ever you do, DON'T submit another one until you fix EVERYTHING. You will get a human review the next time and they will catch most of what you are doing.

You didn't give us the site? It might help answer the question.

How do you know that your reconsideration request had anything to do with the lower ranking?

Normally -30 penalty does not last long, in a few months you might be back automatically.

a PS. Sending RR is a dangerous thing of itself, your site should be 100% ready for a human review, which is hardly achievable for any site.
I am always reluctant to drive an attention of Google assessors to my sites. They are too picky in a bad mood.

I also sent some reconsideration request in some of my sites but until now it didn't get back, so better act to make it back again. Mine won't happen for sure!

I knew it was a dangerous move but I truly had no choice. Do you have any advice of specific actions I can take to possibly get back more quickly? I do not want to have to wait a few months just to get back where I was before, which was worthless in itself...

One thing i learned from google and using there services and promoting websites. the more attention you'll seek from google the more "shit" you'll be getting from google. i advice to you is - dont say anything about your website anymore and hope you can fly under there radar. google we see your links and the way you promote your website the moment they'll see anything un usually with your website your screwed. so in my opinion just let it pass continue what you were doing so far with your website dont dare stopping the current stream of incoming links and hope they will give you a brake.

Not sure "why" you filed the original RR... But if you were using shady techniques for promoting your site and got caught because of one of them, even if you fixed THAT problem... the manual review could have uncovered something else.

If you're under a penalty, it's not just going to "disappear" by itself because you wait a few months. You're going to have to correct the problem that triggered the penalty. And even if you fix the problem, it might never be lifted "automatically". Some penalties require a manual review before they can be lifted.

My suggestion to you is to fix EVERYTHING that you think might be violating Google's Webmaster Guidelines and submit another RR if it doesn't correct itself in a month or so.

Such is life when you walk on the "dark side" of search.

Kabbi reconsideration request failed because your web site is already in Google's Webmaster Tool's index and they already analyzing it and reporting you at your profile on Webmaster Tool. They will consider your request again if you have not data available of performance of your website on Google.

oferkalfa you dear you are doing spamming here I have seen your same post in most of the threads in this forum.Every where you have posted same thing.

Does it have anything to do with what you did off site? Link buying, out sourcing, I could go on. I had a site penalized last year, and found the process very fair. Were you straight up with Google? Did you tell them what you did (everything), or what you think you migt have done, why you did it and that you won't do it again? Believe it or not, they probbaly know. Treat it like a confession, you may get a different response.
