Okay, what do I want? Following on from this competition, I now want a classy front page for my hotel / motel / accommodation directory. NICE DESIGN WANTED - PSD FILE NEEDED ONLY This new page needs to be an attractive front page that will entice viewers to use the site and have them want to search out more information. It needs to be handy for the tourists to research their holiday and should provide an experience they want to share with friends. How much am I prepared to pay? Up to $100 for a top quality front page that suits all my needs. $100 prize is negotiable if I end up not getting what I'm imagining. I may negotiate a fairer price for a design of lesser quality or not choose or use any, see below. The page should include easy-to-spot-links to ALL Australian states (which will link to a list of motels for each state). Australian states are: Australian Capital Territory - New South Wales - Northern Territory - Queensland - South Australia - Tasmania - Victoria - Western Australia There needs to be an area for a list of FEATURED BUSINESS and an area I can place all kinds of tourist information. Photos of famous Australian tourist icons such as harbor bridge or opera house may be incorporated but not absolutely required. I also want to add some holiday discount coupons for tourists to print and save on travel. It would be great to include a 'holiday discounts' area on the page as well. Discount coupons are actually called docket discounts. They will be provided from another site we run called called docketdiscountsDOTcom ( which may also be incorporated into the page ). It may include a search box & a newsletter sign up. The page will have a copyrights line along the bottom with links to a privacy statement & our main site. Colors used are not important but they should include any ONE of these possible logos. Contest is open to all DPers for the next 3 days only. I'll then narrow the field down to existing entrants. If you want to enter, you must at least post your intention to submit here before the 3 day deadline or you will be ineligible to submit an entry after that. I won't put an exact time limit on this contest as I won't be closing it until I get the right site but I expect it will probably be open for up to a week. I reserve the right not to choose a winner if I can't get the right design. In that case I will pay $20 to the person I deem has put in the most effort. When I find the winner, I will pay the prize money and the winner will provide me with the files relinquishing all rights over to me. All entries need to be submited here and not by PM so other contestants can help me keep things above board. That's all I can think of so far. Please ask any questions in here so all can benefit. PREFERRED FILE FORMAT IS .PSD SO SET YOUR MIND FREE. I can do the html based on the winning design. BTW: Now that I have concluded all I want, HERE'S A BONUS!!!! great contest! Ill be sure to submit a page. I found deebong's logo the best so ill be using that cheers! Note* Could the image be a transparent .png? That way it will be easier for me to incorporate into my design!
Well that was easier than I thought. Here's the png. i'm looking forward to seeing this design put into a page. deebong has fortunately provided us with a good start to work with.
Is this contest a waste of my time and money? Surely not! Not a lot coming through for this contest, maybe too hard for DPians? I'm still awaiting entries, with eager anticipation. I can't close the contest to new entrants if I haven't received any eh?
Okay guys, thanks for the updates. I wasn't saying i'm closing the contest as I really need a site for this sometime soon. What I meant by my last post was I can't narrow the field down as promised in OP if I don't have any entries to view. I'll leave it open to all DPers for a few more days. Anyone else going to enter?

@deebong - love it!! - worth the wait - fits the brief perfectly, though it will be trickier to code (but i'll get over that) - no matter what, that's worth the $20 bonus so let me know if you need that now or wanna wait till comp closes for the extra $100. That's going to be hard to beat I think. Thanks for setting the standard high. I would like to see your 'simpler' concept if you can find the time. PS: (y)our logo looks great there. @nasweefpn - looks good and would be more keyword friendly than deebong's but probably a bit too standard. It would definitely be much easier to code but hasn't got the 'punch' I need. Big thanks for submiting an entry. Feel free to add some punch & submit again. @ALL - I want to to able to discuss the final design with my business partners so won't be making the final decision all by myself. I will be making comments here and handing out the bonuses along the way (that's all me) but I won't be picking or pushing any particular entries until I have a few to present them.

@deebong - that's probably more suited to a background page for the featured motels (describing just 1 motel rather than a lot) though again, it would be more keyword friendly. The layout of the first is probably the best for my needs. Is it possible to see your first 'green' entry in blue? Final call for new entrants. If you can do better than deebong's most suitable entry. Please submit your intentions to participate within 24 hours of this post.
