I like everything about your site except for that goofy looking logo. You could let a professional creat a very nicely designed logo.

 

Try adding some background color to it. I also think it would be a good idea to change the logo.
If these things seem too difficult to change, you could try using wordpress themes.

 

You could brighten it up with more colors.

Test another header to match up with more colors.

It may seem like too much work. If you choose not to, you could at least change the logo to make your sight look better.

actually theme supports only a logo of a specific size
