I know that if site is down for some days it will affect the traffic. Also, if search volume of keywords are zero or less in the particular month, then we say due to search volume of keywords site traffic decreases even if keywords on top. Like this, I want to know more things which affect traffic.
Google claims that linking to penalized sites can't decrease your SERP ranking, but I have seen examples of it actually happening. So, Make sure you are linking to legitimate, unpenalized sites.
Site traffic drop because of below reasons: - Losing to competitor in SERP ranking - Banned from Google listings - SERP ranking penalty that give -30, -50, -100 or more. - Your page sandboxed - Backlink value dropped (Page rank drops, more outbound links, etc) - No new contents updated frequently
Well it depends how your website used to get traffic before what ever happen, if you used to get traffic from Organic Search result then probably its a keyword that dropped. and there are other matters
If you are using more ads then Visitors will never come back.. Also, Copied content will help you to reduce your search engine traffic so always write copied content if you want to reduce your website traffic.. Just Joking.. Never Use Copied content..
If google knows that you are doing some spamming activities such keyword stuffing, copy content, redirection of pages etc..than you may go in google sandbox for few months..and dont appear in the search results..
