But i feel this is a bit unprofessional. Handshakes : http://dzoic.com Few use it. Though it comes in only 2 themes, it is very professiosnal and i love it. PHPizabi : http://www.phpizabi.net/ This made a revolution in Social networking by releasing the script for free. Perhaps it is the first free script of its type. I vote for Handshakes

It is already created software, which can be installed in your hosting to run your social website. You want to check me or you do not know how to use google ? lol
You don't have to if you don't use Joomla but i have it on three of my sites and it's the best solution for Joomla powered sites. If you don't use Joomla then i would recommend phpFox http://www.phpfox.com. All other scripts i mentioned are very good too, but phpFox has the most features.
