What is the best forum choice for SEO? Should i go for PHPBB or Vbulletin?

Im looking for professional help on selecting a forum, for my
sparkling new website, im going to customize it for my website
and would like it to be very very SEO friendly. I heard that
vbulletin is SEO friendly, is this true?

DP forum is most likely the worlds largest SEO forum
do you really want to compete with the humanb resource of a 60'000 member community in knowledge and experience resources ??

 

With vbulletin, you can't go wrong.

 

I'd go with VBulletin with VBSEO ( www.vbseo.com ).

If you're looking for something quick and easy (..and free) that's SE friendly, go with www.seo-board.com .

I guess the guy wants the forum which is SEO Friendly not make a forum about SEO.

To answer the post,

both PHPBB and vBulletin can be URL Friendly. There are plugins to do that in phpBB and vBulletin I guess has built in. If you got spare $$$ then obviously vBulletin would be the best choice but remember you have to spend that $$$ every year.

 

Yes, not going for SEO forum, just SEO friendly forum that will be indexed
by the unfriendly and cruel spider crawlers. By the replies here i think i
will choose VBulletin, since i have now heard so much good about it, also
PHPBB has security problems now and then.. so i think it's clear that i
spend the little money i have in the forum.

Have a look at SMF (simplemachines.org), one of the few that I shortlisted besides vbulletin and IPB.

 

I'm the rare PunBB with SEF plugin.
