http://www.searchenginejournal.com/gasp-you-still-need-to-care-about-pagerank/24584/ Just don't get it why there is no major update since April.
That article is made up of lies. Nobody cares about PR anymore, and if you still do, you shouldn't. Focus on increasing your SERP, not pagerank.
PR not so important but it still cant be ignored. The reason is because PR is still one of the factor that affecting the SERP
People do care about Pr as pr is calculated on the number and quality of links thus more links will increase your serp. of course you still should manually check the links but pr gives you a quick idea about site's backlinks.
So to get a higher PageRank it's enough to build more pages on my site? Then every tube on the internet should have PR6 or higher
I have not read the article but the snippet above sounds wrong. I have seen sites with less than 1000 links have a PR4. No-one knows about how pr is calculated and no-one cares anymore!
Exactly. People saying PR is to be ignored are the ones who are missing half part of SEO and making money.
High Pr can't get the leads but high ranking keywords can get the leads so i prefer keyword rank is better.
The article argues that if you have a very large website, having a high PR might help you get all your pages indexed... ...That's a pretty weak argument for investing a lot of time in building up your PR, especially if you don't have a massive site. PR =/= SERPS, in any case -- and even how much it helps (if at all) is very open to debate.
Google PR is not all that important in the eye SEO, but it is very important to lots of people who are buying and selling links, domain name, blog and website.
