Before I get started with Google Adwords, can anyone tell me what the biggest recurring problems are with it? Details would help a lot Thanks, Socialii
Hi Socialiife, Google Adwords is not only a advertising program but it is a worldwide advertising network as well. Therefore, you can try to use it and you will see that Google Adwords is very simple and easy to use. Maybe it can be the biggest recurring problem
I agree with Karumi. Adwords is very beneficial for those who has more than 2 or 3 products/services. It will increase your income once you promote your website according to its recommendations.
And it's a big black sinkhole that will soak up your money at a prodigious rate if you don't take the time to grab a good course and assimilate it's advice before you get started. If you take the time to learn the skills it's probably the quickest way to get targeted visitors to view your offers.
Ain't that the truth. Two of the most important things to do so as not to waste money is to control which countries and which states you want your ads to run in. The other is to learn about Content Ads that Google automatically "signs" you up for without telling you. My products are from India and I only promote them here in the USA but Google was putting my contents ads up in India and Pakistan and on all kinds of sites that had no relationship whatever to what I was selling - so curious people with no real interest were clicking on my link and I was losing tons of money wasted on non-customers who were just kicking tires out of boredom.
How complicated is it to learn? It seems like there could be a lot of issues without really studying how to promote your stuff...
Biggest problem is people not reading the guidelines and policies. You can save yourself lots of trouble by reading that before starting a campaign. How complicated is it to learn? Depends on which part you're talking about. The interface and getting around is not complicated. As with any other software app, it can be learned quickly. Understanding PPC terms helps: you have your campaigns, groups, ads and keywords. How complicated is it to put in some keywords and create an ad? Again, not very complicated. But, doesn't mean you know how to do it. Anyone can have some paint and a paintbrush. Doesn't mean I can paint a portrait or even a landscape. It's the same with PPC. You have to understand the relationship between all the parts and most people don't. That's the biggest problem. It's not a problem with Adwords, it's mainly the users. The system itself, I can't think of any problems and it seems nobody else in this thread can either.
Makesure you know your numbers and calculate your value per visitor, so you know your maximum bid price, the break even number and potential profit made from a campaign. Don'y fly blind and track and test everything.
