Nipples visible through t-shirt; Acceptable by G or not?

Can someone please tell me what Googles reaction is most likely to be if a website delivering ads has a photo gallery and in some of the pictures you can slightly , or more than slightly see nipples?> I mean in Canada, women can walk around in public topless without breakin the law.....anyone know the scoop? Here's another one...what if i had uploaded a pic to review to this forum and , ...yup, you saw nipples?.....would i be kicked?

 

i don't know the exact answer to that, my guess is that Google wouldn't care about it if they are covered. that's probably a tough grey area though. But one things for sure, I'm moving to Canadia.

 

Nop I dont think it wont be allowed coz, I've seen lots of pics like this on stock photography websites, Google doesn't allow the websites contains purely porn material...

I dont think it is allowed, most people class that sort of material as "adult" and I've seen people get banned for much less. I would avoid placing ads on pages containing these sort of pictures.

I honestly don't see why it would be a problem if nipples aren't the main point of the site. Nipples aren't the main point are they? If nipples are the main point it could be a problem, but I was under the impression that nipples aren't. There just happen to be nipples on the site.

Think about it like this, I'm guessing boing boing and others probably had Janet Jacksons nipple back in her wardrobe malfunction days... Google wouldn't ban that. But I suppose when in doubt about grey areas you may be best off asking Goo.

 

I have a friend who works at Google, and he told me he was once staffed on a project that involved scrolling through pornography websites all day. Google can hang.

Yup, asking Google to preview your site would be the best move to take because you will know for a fact if it is permitted. We could only speculate.

It is hard to tell, different people at Google let different things slide. I do not think there is a hard and fast rule but you are taking a risk.

People are so wishy washy, I don't know why, the answer is obvious. It's NO, you can't have Adsense on sites with ANY type of nudity. (Canada allowing topless sunbathers is neither here nor there, you are dealing with an American company.) Even those pictures of girls covering up their bare breasts with their hands are dangerously close to being disallowed. All it takes is for someone to report you, and Google will send you a letter telling you to stop having Adsense on the pages with nipples showing. I know what you're going to say, "But I've seen it on other sites!" Yes, because they don't know any better, and once more, all it would take is for you to click on "Ads by Google" and report that page, and they'll have to remove Adsense ads from that page.
