Full Page Previews Spotted Alongside Google Search Results According to Altoft, Google highlights certain sections of the page preview in orange and expands the text to provide a snippet of information. These highlighted snippets are not always the same as the snippet in the search results, he adds. Surprisingly, as you can tell from the screenshot, Google also started showing multiple results from the same site without indenting the results. This is another "me too" feature that G testing. Most searchers seem to like previews and I think it should be a standard Google feature. The only disappointment IMO is that G is not coming up with much new itself. Instant search is the only recent G innovation, and I think it's useless.
I disagree, I think Google instant is quite a unique and interesting feature that speeds up user ability when searching online. This new addition should increase their user base a lot, who doesn't want a preview of the site you want to view before you view it .
That will surely give much challenge for more appealing website design that captures visitor curiosity and having the right content the visitor is really looking for...
I love this idea! This would start sending traffic to those who have better designs. Being in the number one spot may not get you as much traffic as your site will be skipped over if it looks spammy or uninformative. I think this is conjunction with some type of "user rating" system could be a whole new alley for Google to explore..
Saw it on BlogStrom the day before. I liked the idea.. Though it may reduce click through rate for some high ranking pages.
