Is forum best to get traffic

Is it possible to get maximum traffic by doing only forum posting? Not any other off page activities.

 

Forums are a good source to get traffic from but you can't expect too much from "only" working on forms.

I would suggest you to utilize other resources like article marketing and social bookmarking to get loads of traffic.

In my own experiences, forum posting would be a nice channel for back linking purpose but not the best for traffics. Social media would work better for traffic purpose.
