Hi, i currently have a running website for our company. We also have 10 extra domains that are not in use. I'm thinking of utilizing web marketing through these domains. is that possible? i know there's a setting where you can redirect a domain to another domain but i don't see clearly the big picture.

The domains themselves are likely not worth much unless you have a lot of backlinks to them. I wouldn't waste my time by trying to get 3 different domains ranked and then forward to the same location. Instead, work on SEOing one domain and build strong backlinks to keep the traffic coming.

Thanks for your reply. I see. Backlinks are links spread all over the internet that lead back to your main site right? how do you build a strong back link? i have a few ideas but i'm not so sure yet.

Are the domains directly related to your company? If so, you can build smaller sites on them to generate leads for your main company website.

yeah but would that require another hosting fee to host site files for these domains?

Try to avoid re-directs, Google hates them and will de-list your domains from its search engine, blocking you from getting free traffic.

I would set up a hosted Godaddy account which puts ads on your domains but also give you a chunk of the profit. Its cheaper than buying a full hosting account and you still make money ;).

Who is hosting your company website? If you use a host like HostGator, you can host multiple domains on a single account.
