Traffic Sources

When I usually checked on the traffic sources for my blog, http://www.thefreelancernotebook.com/, no. 1 on the list is always be (direct) / (none). I have no idea where this came from nor are the traffic. Care to expound on this? Thank you.

 

Direct sources are those who directly visit your site by putting the URL.

 

and more over direct traffic is not good in context of search engines trust

 

Where did you get that notion friend?
Traffic is always good (as long as it's not excessive traction from the same IP) and with time your link profile will grow.

 

Having good direct traffic means people like your site and willing to return.
As patricksaron mentioned those are people who directly visit your site. Or you could say those are people who came to your site before and re-visiting.

Direct traffic is normally the best converting traffic, good for sales, clicks etc - ask any domainer who gets direct traffic from people typing their domain into the address bar

 

And...while I remember..direct traffic is the most defensible source of traffic, ie. it doesn't matter what google does with your rankings and so on, direct traffic can't be affected by it.

 

ya! nobody know the source of direct traffic but it is not what ever it is we want traffic on our sites

 

direct traffic is the vistors who search your weburl to your site,but the direct traffic is not important,you should take more care of your search engine traffic

Well it is good that you have getting direct traffic , it means your site is better and more attractive.

 

As I said in another post, analytics never provides accurate data. I have a new webiste and it shows direct traffic. Only me and a friend know about this site.

 

Direct traffic is good, means people enjoy your content and even remember your URL

Direct traffic is fine. Some people are more comfortable typing in a URL than clicking a link -- they think it's safer or something. I use article marketing a lot, and in my author's resource box I always include the full written-out URL, as well as a linked keyword. A certain percentage of people will actually type the URL into their browser even when given the choice of clicking straight through to my site. Whatever. They're all welcome visitors to me!

 

If your site is verry new, the direct traffic might come mainly from you since you do not search for your own website.

 

Direct link is pure traffic that you get is the best source of traffic that mean your visitor love to see what your site really is..this is the best and never bother about, keep works on your site

 

Direct traffic is from the visits from direct inputs of your website url in the address bar. This kind of traffic has the best conversions.
