White screen when leaving a comment?

Okay, now this is starting to get really annoying. I decided to build some more backlinks to my website today, so I went to Google and made a Google search for blogs related to mine. A lot of blogs showed up, and most of 'em were based on wordpress.

When I read through the content of the post, and leave a 100% genuine comment, I get redirected to http://www.url.com/wp-comments-post.php

Why is that? That happens to me no matter where on the Internet I leave the comment. I searched through 6 pages in Google, and I only managed to leave 1 comment. The rest of the comments were getting that white screen. Can you believe that? 60 blog posts, and only 1 comment - thanks to that white screen. Why do I get that white screen? I do not spam the blogs. I read through the content, and leave a comment about the post. I'm not doing anything wrong, but still, I get that error. Why is that?

This has started to make me really pissed. Does anybody know of any way to fix that, or why it occurs? I would be so happy if somebody helped me out, since I'm not able to get relevant backlinks to my website anymore.

No, I have not tried a different browser since I'm using the auto-filler plugin for FF. I've cleared my history and cookies several times, but that does not help. Help!

You're getting caught by an old version of Akismet or your comment is being dropped into the moderation queue. Best bet would be to contact the blog admin directly via email (a whois lookup may be required) and ask them what's happening to your comment.

I don't see why my comment is being caught by akismet, when I'm leaving a 100% genuine comment. I don't even use any spam words. Okay, I may try that. Thanks for the tip!

Sometimes if your name is too big (over 60 characters or something ) Wordpress just doesn't add the comment and sends you to white screen. Other than that, yea, contact the guy.

the white screen is because you comment needs to be moderated. I see that all day also....dont freak out. It would be nice if there was a message there or you were returned to the original post...but nope.

I had something similar. Evenutally had white screen (but only when trying to edit). It ended up being a database problem (or corruption within the specific comment record).
Only way around it was to nuke the page and rebuild it, then mirror back in the comments. Pain the but but it worked and haven' had the dreaded white screen since.
    Infuriating, time wasting problem...
