That is so funny - read that one as well.

Spencer, your desperation is showing through.

    June 2010
Fox News: White House says White House Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel is not quitting, calls it ludicrous

CBS News: Rahm Emanuel says Report He's Quitting is "B.S."

NY Daily News: Rahm Emanuel shoots down British newspaper's claim he plans to quit as Obamas chief of staff

"As I would say, this is BS or as the english like to say baseless."
Rahm Emanuel on rumors he plans to quit, June 21, 2010

    = = = = = = = =
    Well, it's October.
Rahm Emanuel Quits as White House Chief-of-Staff

The excuse? Emanuel wants to run for mayor of Chicago? That's like President Obama resigning because he wants to run for Senator from Illinois.

I think that there is a White House scandal up ahead and Emanuel wants to get out while the getting is good. Along with recent resignations such as Obama's chief economic adviser, it looks like the rats are deserting the sinking ship!

But does it really matter? Have the American voters really learned anything from this debacle?

Well, I like to think that the internet is educating people better than they have in the past. Slowly, but it's happening. And I think Jon Stewart is a good and powerful influence. Just look and see how CNN's Rick Sanchez got fired last week after his stupid remark about Stewart.

Wow. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. If he had any kind of viewership, they would have kept him around. They are replacing him with Parker and Spitzer, which is destined to be an equally sized failure. Not sure why CNN can't seem to hire a decently entertaining opinion journalist. Maddow and Olbermann are way more entertaining.

IMO, the funniest guy on TV, though I cant stand his politics. I suppose I should be thankful he is willing to stick it to the left now and again.

Only in America can you get canned for calling a comedian a bigot.

Meanwhile members of congress keep their jobs after committing felonies. Go figure.

The mayor of Chicago is a lynch pin for the entire mid-western region, losing it for the Democrats would be like Obama becoming a Muslim.

Emanuel's exit is a healthy sign there are plenty of opportunities and replacements within the ranks of the Executive branch and not fearing to run in an off year is reassuring.

The polls seem to be tightening and the competition drifting to the liberal side.....just in time for crunch time.

It seems that you have never been to the United States.

Outside of Illinois, the "mid-western region" doesn't give a damn about what happens in the ill city.

You two have nothing to worry about, leaving the White House to be elected the mayor of Chicago.....liberals more intent on doing what is right than just winning elections, an inspiration for all Americans and sorely needed.

Stealing from the public is now seen as "doing what is right"? No wonder the U.S. seems to be going to hell.

Liberals are more intent on winning elections than doing what's right.

I've lived in Indianapolis and Detroit, visited Chicago and Dallas too many times to count, and spent ten years doing business in the "entire mid-western region".

So please Breeze, YOU tell ME more about the mid-west, hmmm???

Addendum: It's just been reported that NSA Security Adviser General James Jones, a highly respected soldier, has suddenly and without warning quit.

Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel quit last week.
Two weeks ago, Lawrence Summers, Obama'a Director of the National Economic Council, announced he is leaving at the end of the year.

General Jones will be replaced by Thomas E. Donilon, a Biden insider and career politician.

The rats are leaving the sinking ship...

According to a Zogby poll, Obama's approval rating is now at 39%, a record low.
