Buying Premium Domain Names from GoDaddy

I have a name that I want to buy, and it says that it is a premium domain name being sold for $300. The domain name was registered by a user who used GoDaddy as well.

I'm using GoDaddy, and was wondering if I purchased it will I receive the domain name right away? Or does purchasing the premium domain name just put me on a list?

I suppose that depends on you. Only you decide if that domain name worth to be registered or bought or not.
I suppose you are considering that as subject of investment?

If the domain is listed as premium domain, you will get it instantly once you pay the cost. If however, someone currently owns the domain, then you have to backorder it and hope for Godaddy to snap the name up for you as soon as it has expired.

Sorry if this does not answer your question, as your post is not clear on the current status of the domain.

Alright, I decided to buy the domain name at its premium price, I got the receipt from godaddy, etc. However, when I woke up this morning I still haven't received the domain name, and now it's not listed as a premium domain name anymore...The weird thing is that it is registered through a different registrar rather than Godaddy (it was registered by godaddy before I bought it, or at least when I tried to buy it).

Oops, I'm sorry I didn't answer your question either. The domain name is listed as a Premium Domain (and can be purchased at a certain price).

Give it some time, I bought a couple premiums through Snapnames in a similar way.

If you AND the seller were both on godaddy, the transfer should have been pretty much instantaneous.

i have sold via premium names before - it takes about 30 days to get paid. maybe they are holding the name in escrow until your funds clear. best way to be sure is to pick up the phone and call godaddy.

If you really think that domain name is worth for your investment then purchase it.The deal with godaddy are safe and do not use middle man like broker if you want to buy without any problem.

Update: It was my first time buying a domain listed as "premium", however, it finally transferred over. I was just getting a little worried that either my credit card screwed up or someone had snagged the name up before me because the registrar changed (weird).

But thanks for the reassurance and feedback on what you guys have experienced :)
