I don't think Google will allow that to happen. Ever since Bing came around Google has been very aggressive about competing. Revamping Google Images, Caffeine (faster indexing), the new Instant Search, etc.
May be or may not be. Cannot predict it now. Till now Google seems far better than Bing. Bing is improving and there is always a chance.
If I was a betting man, I'd put money on Bing. I suspect Google's days are over. Too many other projects, and not enough focus on the important thing (i.e. good serps). As they have a LOT of cash, they could rumble on for decades though. Bing indexes faster, the results are cleaner, they seem to be better at weeding out spam than Google (IMHO). Those, btw, are the qualities that allowed Google to detrench the original '600 pound gorillas' (altavistahooglecite). Plus bing is shorter to type than google.
Why so many threads like this ? Google is king end of story... all this bing hype is rubbish.. they have nothing over google at all
Didn't you use to post (about 10 years ago) that 'Yahoo and ALtavista are King, no one is ever being them dumping top spot from'. While you're using the crystal ball, btw, can you tell us what lottery numbers will win this Saturday? Thanks.
In the meantime, there was an article on MarketWatch a couple days ago predicting Google's stock price ($527/share) might hit $2000/share while, at the same time, Microsoft's stock was downgraded and crashed to less than $24/share. Business is betting on Google. You are one of the only people I have ever heard say that anywhere. Not even my non-tech wife believes that.
Hey, I have that picture in your avatar hanging on my wall. And back to the topic, no they won't be able, unless they come with something new and groundbreaking which I think won't happen
May be one day, if Bing aggressively changes its policies, and I guess wat sort of question is this ? its very very obvious if bing improves performance than google, it will get more search queries , else not.quite intuitive, isn't it ?
Add one more to that list. I moved to Bing as my default search some time ago and am quite happy. The most unholy G would not be the first giant to loose its way and flounder--only time will tell. Competition is a good thing and it may come to pass that we all will benefit from having 2 highly competitive search platforms.
That's true. I love it when people say 'cant be done'... That was EXACTLY what they said when Google was 3 guys and a cheap server in a back bedroom. I'm old enough to remember when Microsoft was the uncontested king of all software, and could NEVER be detrenched. These people can't seem to understand that NOTHING is inviolable in this industry. I'm using Bing too now, and it actually reminds me of how pleased I was when Google first arrived - it's a breath of fresh air and far less trawling through pages and pages of spam.
