How To Avoid Spam Crawlers ? and content theft ?

Recently, i am facing a problem. When i add a new post to my blog, before it is getting indexed in Google, it is automatically added to a blog (servicesforseo.com) which is a spam site automatically stealing fresh content from other blogs. The end result, my blog post is not indexed in google and it is indexed from that spam site.

All my hard work to produce fresh content is wasted here, :-( i am worried about these kind of f guys !

Is there a way to avoid these kind of spam crawlers ? I use wordpress.

Example: My original blog post : http://emoneymakingonline.com/2010/10/03/business-evidence-to-customers/
    Stolen blog post : http://servicesforseo.com/do-business-evidence-is-required-to-win-new-customers-online/

Expecting your great support, pl help !

    Thanks for your time...

Complain to the host of the website (not the website owner!) stealing the content. I would also add your blog URL to Google or other search engines right after publishing. Search engines will see that you first posted the content and penalize the other guy for it. Also be sure to add a "no use of content without permission" or something to this nature at the bottom of the post.

I never really thought that spamming could take a way as far as that. I mean, the spam site gets the content you put forward first before it hits the index of search engines is really sick. Hmmmmm... I was thinking if re-addressing your RSS feed url could help you go through with it. I believe that spam blog is using an autoblog software of some kind that sucks in recently created content that's immediately through RSS feed. And so, changing the RSS feed url that spam blog have from your blog might make it an excuse from stolen post. The problem is, I am not so sure if there is any ethical way to reimagine the RSS feed url especially when your blog is free hosted.

these guys mostly use automated programs to do the scraping , and even if done manually they may miss any link inside the post . so you got a chance . every other process is lenghty and time wasting .... you cannot always find and sue a scraper

i had my blogpost stolen once and i sent an email to the site owner demanding to have my stolen content removed or threatened to file complaint to google and other major search engines under DMCA (digital millennium copywrite act). within few hours of sending the email, my content was removed form the spam blog. you can also send email to the spam site owner and threaten to file complaint to google under DMCA and have their blog banned. if you dont get any response or if they still continue to steal your content, you can then file the actual complaint under DMCA to get their site banned on google meaning no more indexing of stolen content.

Always throw a link back to one of your sites or an inner page from your blog. If the guys is not changing the content, then he is helping you. You don't need to necessarily look at it as stealing, it could be a compliment to a good blog you are writing.

Disable RSS feeds. Put the name of your site in the articles for more automatic publicity. The other suggestions are good also about creating links back to your site in your article. It will eventually boost your rankings having hundreds of people giving your site free backlinks. :)

If it happened to me, I would write a script that would show a post full a profanity when that ip address visits the site. If your nice you can have it show gibberish instead.

There was a javascript I saw which when bots copied and pasted your pages it would automatically insert links within the copied content going back to your pages.

At some point, this is true. If links within the post won't be removed after the scraping of blog post update, it can be a good way to suck some link juices from content thieves like that one. But then, if we are to look at the effort of trying to be unique at all times, what is happening is very disappointing. SultanofSEO had a good suggestion about this case.

Same is the case with one of my blog.. It was posted via my feed. What I did is change the setting in feed-burner to post only few words and given a link like- read full article at www.mysite.com . And now this really worked for me.. other site only published my limited word and a reference to read more on my site.

    You can too do that.
